Anthony Gaglia grew up in the Black Hills of Spearfish, South Dakota. He started studying guitar at the age of 7 and eventually started teaching throughout high school at the studio he was taught in. After high school Anthony auditioned for the Montana State University music school and was granted a full ride scholarship to play in the MSU Guitar Ensemble. During college Gaglia started a funk/rock band, The Bent Bones. The band recorded two albums one with the Grammy award winning producer Doc Wiley and also performed at a TEDTalk, all while Anthony studied for his undergraduate. Gaglia graduated from college in May of 2016 with a BA in music with an emphasis on classical guitar performance and a minor in business administration. During his senior year Gaglia composed a piece for five guitars 'Impressions of Haiti' which was accepted into the World Congress of Undergraduate Research in Doha, Qatar. Shortly after graduating he moved to Portland to teach guitar and share his passion for the instrument with others. Anthony is teaching guitar and funk/rock with Maestro Music. Register now for a trial lesson to meet him!
