On our first month of the new year, students are climbing high on their quest to understand articulation better. In our regular staff meetings, our team including John, Hayley, Ruby, and Bonnie all had different meanings for articulation! We all agreed that articulation is used to give a song meaning and help express it. This month students are exploring the differences between durational articulation and markings of force, and just how many different ways we can use a slur! Our featured comic books this month are "Tedd Tales" and "Fleas on the Keys" by Andrea Dow of Teach Piano Today. Exciting characters help younger students attack, connect, and jump their way across the keys.
